‘Coming Home to His Family’: Trump Announces Edan Alexander, Last Living American Held Hostage by Hamas To Be Released

(AP Photo/Ohad Zwigenberg ) President Donald Trump on Sunday night announced that American citizen Edan Alexander, the last American still alive held hostage by Hamas, is to be released and returned home, confirming reports earlier in the day that Hamas was set to turn over Alexander as a gesture of “good will” to the president. “I am happy to announce that Edan Alexander, an American citizen who has been held hostage since October 2023, is coming home to his family,” Trump said in a Truth Social post. “I am grateful to all those involved in making this monumental news happen.” Among those directly involved in securing that release was Trump envoy Steve Witkoff, whom the AP reported Sunday afternoon told the outlet that Hamas’s “goal in releasing Alexander was to restart talks on a ceasefire” and increase humanitarian aid in Gaza. Witkoff has been at the center of an internal firestorm in MAGA politics, with Fox News host Mark Levin on Sunday expressing concerns about exactly what sort of deal might have been made. In his post on Sunday evening, Trump said that the move by Hamas was taken “in good faith” toward reaching an end to the war that began when terror group Hamas committed the atrocities of October 7, 2023. “This was a step taken in good faith towards the United States and the efforts of the mediators — Qatar and Egypt — to put an end to this very brutal war and return ALL living hostages and remains to their loved ones,” Trump wrote. “Hopefully this is the first of those final steps necessary to end this brutal conflict. I look very much forward to that day of celebration!” The AP added in their report that Hamas was “advised” to “give a gift to President Trump and in return he will give back a better one.” Khalil al-Hayyah, a Hamas leader in Gaza, said the group has been in contact with the U.S. administration over the past few days. Al-Hayyah said in a statement Hamas is ready to “immediately start intensive negotiations” to reach a final deal for a long-term truce, which includes an end to the war, the exchange of Palestinian prisoners and hostages in Gaza and the handing over of power in Gaza to an independent body of technocrats. Indirect talks between Hamas and the U.S. began five days ago, an Egyptian official and a senior Hamas official told the AP, with both describing the release of Alexander as a gesture of goodwill. The senior Hamas official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media, said Alexander is expected to be released on Monday. Hamas was advised to “give a gift to President Trump and in return he will give back a better one,” the official said. Edan Alexander is 21 years old Israeli soldier and American citizen who grew up in the United States. He’s been held hostage since 2023 by the terror group Hamas. This is a developing story and may be updated. Trump Rants Oct 7th Wouldn't Have Happened If He Was President

During a Trump rally in Bronx, New York Thursday, the worst president in all our lifetimes told the sycophants attending his Armageddon-fest that the attack on October 7 would have never happened if he was president. Traitor Trump ranted about Iran and then gave no hope to anyone and callously said this about the fate of hostages. There's no way that those hostages, and some will be alive, but many of those hostages are dead. It's a very serious, horrible thing. Not to be outdone by himself he continued. It would have never happened if the election weren't rigged. It would have never happened if I'd been president. They would have never done it. Sure, and the recent earthquake in NY would never have happened if you were in office. COVID would never have happened if you were....never mind. read more

Amal Clooney Assists International Criminal Court Against Netanyahu

A panel of expert Human Rights lawyers has recommended to the International Criminal Court that they apply for warrants for certain Middle East leaders, among them Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu. One of the members of the panel is Human Rights lawyer Amal Clooney, wife of George Clooney, noted Leftist Blowhard. Clooney’s statement about her work for the ICC proves that she is just as much of a Blowhard as her husband. Vultures of a feather, you know. Just in case you didn’t hear what happened. Honest to goodness, the advisory panel, that made the recommendations, believes Israel is the same as Hamas. From the New York Times: The International Criminal Court prosecutor, Karim Khan, said Monday that he had requested arrest warrants for the leaders of Hamas and for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in relation to the Oct. 7 attack and the war in Gaza. In a statement, Mr. Khan said he was applying for arrest warrants for Yahya Sinwar, Hamas’s leader within Gaza; Muhammad Deif, Hamas’s military leader; and Ismail Haniyeh, the movement’s Qatar-based political leader. Mr. Khan also said he was requesting warrants for Mr. Netanyahu and for Israel’s defense minister, Yoav Gallant. While Mr. Khan’s request must still be approved by judges from the court, the announcement forms one of the harshest rebukes of Israel’s strategy in its seven-month campaign against Hamas and the war’s toll on Gaza’s civilian population. It also heightens scrutiny of Hamas’s actions at the start of the war in October, when Hamas fighters led a raid that killed more than a thousand people and abducted hundreds more. “Hamas’s actions THAT ACTUALLY STARTED THE WAR should get heightened scrutiny. The worst genocide of Jews since World War II. But, you ask, has Benjamin Netanyahu done? Here is the statement from Amal Clooney on the Clooney Foundation for Justice website. I laughted too. They take themselves so seriously: Amal Clooney Publishes Expert Report Supporting ICC Arrest Warrant Applications for Crimes in Israel and Palestine “More than four months ago, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court asked me to assist him with evaluating evidence of suspected war crimes and crimes against humanity in Israel and Gaza. I agreed and joined a panel of international legal experts to undertake this task. Together we have engaged in an extensive process of evidence review and legal analysis including at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. The Panel and its academic advisers are experts in international law, including international humanitarian law and international criminal law. Two Panel members are appointed as expert ‘Special Advisers’ by the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. Two Panel members are former judges at criminal tribunals in The Hague. Despite our diverse personal backgrounds, our legal findings are unanimous. We have unanimously determined that the Court has jurisdiction over crimes committed in Palestine and by Palestinian nationals. We unanimously conclude that there are reasonable grounds to believe that Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar, Mohammed Deif and Ismail Haniyeh have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity, including hostage-taking, murder and crimes of sexual violence. We unanimously conclude that there are reasonable grounds to believe that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity including starvation as a method of warfare, murder, persecution and extermination. I served on this Panel because I believe in the rule of law and the need to protect civilian lives. The law that protects civilians in war was developed more than 100 years ago and it applies in every country in the world regardless of the reasons for a conflict. As a human rights lawyer, I will never accept that one child’s life has less value than another’s. I do not accept that any conflict should be beyond the reach of the law, nor that any perpetrator should be above the law. So I support the historic step that the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court has taken to bring justice to victims of atrocities in Israel and Palestine. Today, my colleagues and I have published an oped and a detailed legal report of the Panel’s findings. My approach is not to provide a running commentary of my work but to let the work speak for itself. I hope that witnesses will cooperate with the ongoing investigation. And I hope that justice will prevail in a region that has already suffered too much.” Amal Clooney Barrister and Co-Founder of the Clooney Foundation for Justice All of the legal geniuses on the committee believe that “there are reasonable grounds to believe that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity including starvation as a method of warfare, murder, persecution and extermination.” Do these legal twatspangles get all their reports from Hamas? Hamas are the only ones responsible for any hunger in Gaza. From the L.A. Times: “At the point of inspection, the U.N. isn’t allowed to be there. So we don’t get any reason,” said Dominic Allen, the Population Fund’s representative for the Palestinian territories. “It was puzzling to find flashlights to be rejected, to help a midwife deliver her services at night.” Israel says it is sufficiently facilitating humanitarian deliveries. Officials have blamed delays on aid groups or on Hamas stealing supplies. Shimon Freedman, spokesman for the Israeli agency Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories, said, “Israel places no limit on the amount of aid that can enter the Gaza Strip.” He said Israel is inspecting more humanitarian aid than international organizations on the ground can distribute, which humanitarian groups have disputed. This Grandma knows that it’s Hamas is starving the Gazans: Apparently, Amal Clooney can’t be bothered to listen to the Gaza Grandma. She knows that Hamas is taking it home and probably reselling for the money to fund more terrorism. Amal Clooney wants to blame Bibi Netanyahu. Amal Clooney is an anti-Semite married to Hollywood star George Clooney. They are close friends with the Obama’s. The four of them hate Israel and her people. None of this is a surprise. They’ve shown who they are for years. https://t.co/nsAPAZEYFE — JamieRJN (@JamieRJN) May 20, 2024 Globalists like Amal and George Clooney hate Israel, America and Freedom. They can go rot in my opinion. Terrorism Works

I wrote a primer on terrorism a few years ago, which discussed why a rational person could be seduced into acting as a terrorist, and we’re seeing that in real time as protests rock college campuses all across the country. It’s because terrorism works. Contrary to what the pundits on television will have you believe, terrorists like Hamas don’t conduct attacks solely for the bloodlust – although the Hamas foot soldiers who executed the mission on October 7th certainly could be described as such. The action has a purpose, and terrorist leaders have learned over time that such killings advance their agenda, regardless of how horrific they are to the rest of the world. In the words of Brian Jenkins, a recognized expert on the phenomena, “terrorists want a lot of people watching, not a lot of people dead”. The level of the dead is directly correlated with the level of interest news organizations have to cover it. In order to get eyeballs watching – and by extension, the perceived grievances of the group on the world stage – a terrorist has to make the news. I saw this with my own eyes in Iraq. The first time a vehicle borne improvised explosive device was used in Baghdad (VBIED to the military, car bomb to everyone else) it killed fewer than five people but made global news due its novelty at the time. In short order, VBIEDs were everywhere, so much so that it didn’t warrant a news report. The result? Terrorists realized they needed a bigger kill chart. Eventually, on a day that saw four VBIEDs explode in Baghdad, it was the one that killed more than a hundred that made the news. Terrorism as a phenomenon has been around since humans learned to smash skulls with a bone axe, but for the first two centuries of the United States’ existence it wasn’t a primary driver of our national security conversation. That changed in September 1972. Black September, the military wing of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), murdered eleven Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics. For the PLO it was a debacle. They were vilified on the world stage, the entire action horrific, and Yasser Arafat (the head of the PLO) repudiated the event, swearing off violence. But then a strange thing happened. The PLO’s ranks swelled with recruits. The world, while ostensibly shocked by the action, also took notice of the PLO’s perceived grievances. In 1948, when Israel declared independence, the Palestinians went to war with them – and lost. Israel, once willing to live side by side, conquered them and forced them to flee in what is known as the Nakba. The Palestinians had been fighting to regain the land they once held ever since, with everyone on earth oblivious to the struggle. After 1972, the world took notice. A mere two years later, in 1974, Yasser Arafat, a non-state actor, spoke in front of the United Nations. By the end of the 1970s, the PLO – a non-state organization – had more formal diplomatic relationships than Israel itself. The murder of the Israeli athletes had served its purpose. We see this playing out yet again after the heinous October 7th attack. Hamas willfully slaughtered innocent civilians, going so far as using rape as a weapon of war, then dragging over a hundred hostages into tunnels – including the elderly and infants – for further abuse, something that any normal human would recoil from, but that’s not what’s happened. Instead, there are now massive protests across our college campuses with people sympathizing with Hamas against Israel. Sympathizing with people who wantonly raped and pillaged, as if they were the noble ones. The screaming “enlightened” ones don’t understand that their very protests are validating terrorism as an effective tool. Currently, Hamas is refusing to accept the ceasefire deal that Israel has offered, even as it has been Israel which has conceded time and time again on their demands. Why is that? It’s because Hamas – and their masters in Iran – see the protests occurring and are making a calculation that allowing ordinary Palestinians to suffer strengthens its bargaining position on the world stage. Both Hamas and Iran are completely willing to sacrifice the Palestinians in Gaza to gain further world vilification of Israel, and a ceasefire would end that. Their terrorism is working. Why has Gaza suddenly inflamed the passion of students? At this very moment, the Rohingya in Myanmar (Muslims, no less) are being eliminated in an actual genocide, which has been occurring for years. Sudan has devolved into slaughter-fest of biblical proportions, with entire villages beheaded simply for being a different tribe, but nobody on any college campus has ever uttered a word about it. Ukraine has been invaded by Russia, with war crimes being committed as a matter of course, to include Ukrainian children being forcibly removed for “re-education” in Russia– which earned the president of Russia an indictment for war crimes – but American students didn’t protest or lock-down universities with their outrage. Nobody on college campuses said a word. Hamas conducts a terrorist attack, raping and savagely killing more than a thousand people, and now everyone’s protesting on the side of Hamas? The bottom line is that the violence perpetrated by Hamas on October 7th served its purpose. The most elite schools in the world are now in turmoil, with uneducated students blathering on about ceasefires and the persecution of Palestinians without even realizing that it’s Hamas that is causing this – and that they’re encouraging Hamas to continue its reign of terror. Make no mistake, if the protests had gone the other way, with the entire world erupting and holding Hamas culpable for its actions, a ceasefire would have occurred by now. Iran would not allow Hamas to strengthen Israel. Instead, the protestors are validating the very terrorist tactics used. Others will take notice. If the Rohingya ever develop the capability, make no mistake, they’re going to conduct a terrorist act against an unwitting civilian population, possibly far removed from their home country. It will seem random and horrific, but they’ve learned a lesson from Hamas: Terrorism works. The post Terrorism Works appeared first on Brad Taylor.

Is Anyone Surprised That United Nations Employees Took Part In The Deadly October 7th Attacks On The Jews And Israel? I’m Sure N

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), a UN body providing aid for Palestinian refugees, announced on Friday it has launched an investigation into suspicions alleging some of its employees were involved in Hamas’ murderous attack on Israel on October 7. The United Nations hates Israel with an everlasting hatred, voting against them constantly and consistently, and doing everything they can to try to shut them down. They are highly biased in favor of the Palestinians and against the Jews. So it comes as absolutely no surprise that many of their employees stood side-by-side with Hamas on October 7th, helping them to kill and rape Jews and Israeli citizens. The only surprise is that there weren’t more UN employees doing it. “I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.” Isaiah 46:13 (KJB) I don’t know about you, but I am happy to stand with the Jews, and happy to pray for the peace of Jerusalem as the Bible tells us to. I understand that Genesis 12:3 is still in effect in our dispensation, do you? In our morning Bible study today, Lori and I read the wonderful promises the Lord makes in Isaiah 62 that shows us the Jews living under King Jesus in the Millennium. What a glorious time that will be! Until then, the Jews can expect nothing but wars, rumours of wars and the time of Jacob’s trouble coming up. And when it comes, the fine folks at the United Nations will be out in front, serving as the ‘advance team’ for Antichrist. United Nations agency says ‘severed ties’ with 12 employees suspected of participating in Hamas’ massacre; US pauses funding following allegations FROM YNET NEWS: The agency said in a statement that it has severed ties with those employees. This development has garnered attention worldwide, with the United States announcing it is pausing additional funding for UNRWA at this time while the allegations are under review. “The Israeli authorities have provided UNRWA with information about the alleged involvement of several UNRWA employees in the horrific attacks on Israel on October 7,” said Philippe Lazzarini, UNRWA Commissioner-General. “To protect the agency’s ability to deliver humanitarian assistance, I have taken the decision to immediately terminate the contracts of these staff members and launch an investigation in order to establish the truth without delay.” Lazzarini did not disclose the number of employees allegedly involved in the attacks, nor the nature of their alleged involvement. He said, however, that “any UNRWA employee who was involved in acts of terror” would be held accountable, including through criminal prosecution. Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, has been briefed about the allegations, his spokesperson said. “The Secretary-General is horrified by this news,” said spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric. Dujarric added that the UN chief had asked Lazzarini to conduct a probe to ensure that any UNRWA employee shown to have participated or abetted the October 7 attacks be terminated immediately and referred for potential criminal prosecution. The U.S. State Department said it was extremely troubled by the allegations, which it said pertained to 12 UNRWA employees who allegedly participated in Hamas’ massacre. It said it would provide no additional funding to the agency until the allegations were addressed. “Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on January 25 to emphasize the necessity of a thorough and swift investigation of this matter,” the statement read. “The Department of State has temporarily paused additional funding for UNRWA while we review these allegations and the steps the United Nations is taking to address them,” U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said. Guest Post: A Self-Destructive Jewish Majority (Parshat Beshalah) by By JJ Gross

A self-destructive Jewish majority (Parshat Beshalah)  by By JJ Gross It was recently discovered that a Brooklyn public school, which has received hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Qatari government, has – for 12 years – been featuring a map of the Middle East on which Israel does not exist. The map, which was provided by the Qataris, shows only a country called Palestine. The map was a teaching tool in an “Arab arts class” that is taught by an Arab woman named Rita Lahoud One can wonder why a New York City public elementary school would have an Arab Arts class in the first place. But then, there is no limit to the extent of the Qatari infiltration of American education. Entire universities have been effectively taken over by Qatari-funded “Near Eastern Studies” departments in a barely disguised, and hugely successful, effort to occupy the minds and agendas of vulnerable college students. In recent weeks, we have witnessed the result of this Qatari investment, as America’s most prestigious campuses have emerged as hotbeds of virulent antisemitism and vociferous support for Hamas and its murderous rampage of October 7th. But what is perhaps most horrifying – but hardly surprising – about this ongoing call for Jewish blood and the dismemberment of the Jewish State, is the significant leadership presence of activists who are not only Jewish, but who claim to be acting against Israel BECAUSE they are Jewish. Indeed there are entire Jewish organizations – all of them well funded by Jewish donors like George Soros – whose sole raison d’etre is to wage war against Israel. These organizations come replete with their own ordained rabbis, men and women who are members in good standing of liberal Jewish synagogue organizations. These include Jewish Voice for Peace, If Not Now, Truah and Bend the Arc – representing tens of thousands of Jews who truly hate Israel and seek its total annihilation. The cancer of Jewish self-destruction is hardly limited to the college campus and Gens X and Z. In the case of Public School 261 in Brooklyn, according to the New York Times: “ ‘It would be devastating if the (Arab Arts) program were cut,’ Lauren Katzman, the mother of a first grader said. Last week, a broad group of parents, teachers and staff members issued a statement calling for protection of a program that honors the “diversity and Arab heritage of the Boerum Hill neighborhood.” More than 240 people had signed it. Ms. Katzman was among 16 Jewish parents who drafted a separate letter a few days later in a similar vein …” Yes, it was Jewish mothers and fathers who were loudest in the call to protect Arab studies at their children’s public school. Rest assured there is no parallel Jewish studies program in that school, nor any call for one. What does all this have to do with Parshat Beshalah? Actually everything. Because the situation in Egypt at the time of the Exodus some 3,000 years ago was very much the same as it is today in the western Diaspora. It is abundantly clear from the text of all the parshiyot from Vayehi through Beshalah, that the idea of Jewish national redemption was anathema to most, if not all, Israelites living in Egypt. When the Bnei Israel traveled en masse for the burial of Yaakov in Eretz Israel, they returned to Egypt en masse as well. Despite the fact that the famine had ended, and that Yosef’s status was diminishing rapidly, it occurred to none of them to remain in their ancestral home. Egypt was where they wanted to be. Now, 210 years later, the idea of national redemption had gained little, if any, traction. Even the midrash – and I rarely reference midrash – tells how only 20% of the Israelites followed Moshe, while the rest – 80% of Bnei Israel – chose to remain behind. One can readily surmise that the 20% who did leave Mitzrayim were hardly the more successful strata of Egyptian-Israelite society. They were not the corporate lawyers, Wall Street executives, successful surgeons, and movie and media elites of Egypt. And even the lowest rungs of the social ladder needed the manifestation of miracles and plagues to convince them to leave, so thoroughly Egyptianized were they. I would take it one step further. Not only did the overwhelming majority of Bnei Israel refuse to leave Egypt, they did everything in their power to prevent, persecute and pursue the small minority who did choose to go. The Israelite majority were not merely indifferent to Redemption and national resurgence, they were actively hostile to it – much as so many American Jewish elitists are today. And Pharaoh  said to the Bnei Israel, they are lost in the land, the desert has closed them in (Shemot 14:3) I believe Pharaoh was literally speaking TO the majority of Bnei Israel who stayed behind and were goading him against their own people (and not, as Rashi tries to explain, that the ל in לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל  mean  “of" rather than "to".) And, no doubt, the most rabid pursuers of the Israelites who were camped at the edge of the Red Sea were the the Israelite majority -- who were so in love with Egyptian culture, so patriotic, and so hostile to their own identity. As the prophet Yeshayahu famously says: מִֽהֲר֖וּ בָּנָ֑יִךְ מְהָֽרְסַ֥יִךְ וּמַֽחֲרִיבַ֖יִךְ מִמֵּ֥ךְ יֵצֵֽא Your children rush; your destroyers and those who lay waste to you will come from you. (Yeshayahu 49:17) We have seen this over and over again throughout our history. As the famous cartoon character Pogo says, “ We have met the enemy, and he is us.” provided by JJ GrossIt is time to wake up and realize that our most dangerous enemy is not Iran, or Hamas, or Hizbullah or the progressive wing of the Democratic Party. It is our own people who have become so alienated from themselves, so ignorant and indifferent to the lessons of Jewish history, so addicted to diaspora culture – Egyptian then, American and British, and French today – that they not only choose to disappear, but they insist on harming the rest of us even as they hasten to demographic oblivion.
